Photosynthesis- using old paintings and portraits using double exposure to show theme of time
What is the title of your photo series? Portraits Through Time What compositional techniques did you use in your work? I combined double exposure and graphics editing to combine old portraits into new photographs. Why are these photos important to/ of interest to you? I love how contrasting the detail in these photos are. Most of these images involve my sisters with images of famous portraits layer on top of their faces and outfits. It shows the contrast of time with art and I love it. What is the subject of your photos? What are your photos about? The subjects of my photos are my sisters and landscape around providence RI and the high school. They show the beauty of art in old and new senses. What is the concept or idea of your photos? The idea of my photos are the contrast in time periods. What special settings or lenses did you use in your photos? I specifically used double exposure to crop these photos and blend the images into each other. How did you edit or manipulate your photos in Photoshop? I cropped the images, used the clone stamp tool, the group selection tool, and the bandaid tool to manipulate the photos together. Who was your photographer inspiration for your work? I did not have any photographers influence.
